To be a formidable agricultural training institution providing excellent training, consultancy, and research.
To produce quality, practical-oriented middle line human resources, as well as conduct research and consultancy in order to promote agricultural development and proper natural resource management.
The philosophy of true value: your worth as an individual or an organization can only be measured if and when your overall contribution to the attainment of the goals and objectives of success is commensurate with your fullest potential.
NRDC is Zambia's top agricultural college. It is public institution under the Ministry of Agriculture. The College admitted its first students in 1965. NRDC offers Diploma courses underwritten by the University of Zambia. Duration of training is three years for both full time and Distance Learning students. NRDC has eight (8) academic departments each representing a particular area of agriculture and related disciplines. NRDC places considerable emphasis on practical training. As such our students undertake practical work in laboratories, engineering workshops, the College farm, as well as through industrial attachments.
